Cruising in Italy

On the Italian Riviera, Portofino is a small seaside village set within a regional nature park and marine protected area. Further along the coast, the 5 villages of the Cinque Terre stretch over 18 km and have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. The region also produces wines such as Vermentino and Pigato.

The Amalfi Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its vines, olive and citrus trees grow on terraces. The beaches west of Positano are reached by tender, kayak or paddleboard. The village of Nerano is known for its traditional pasta and seafood. Capri, Ischia and Procida all fit into the same week from Naples.

The 2 regions make for 2 separate charters, from Genoa or from Naples. Naples lies 376 nm from Cannes.

Where to go

  • Portofino

This small seaside village on the Italian Riviera lies within a regional nature park and marine protected area. The nearest major airport is Genoa, 45 km away. On a charter from Genoa, the yacht spends its first night here.

  • Cinque Terre

The 5 villages line 18 km of coastline and are best reached by train or by sea. Guests visit them aboard an authorised local launch. The area also offers several dive sites.

  • Capri

Yachts anchor off the island and the tender takes guests into town. The Blue Grotto is a sea cave that can only be reached from the water. The Gardens of Augustus round off a day ashore.

  • Amalfi and Positano

Amalfi is a former maritime republic that gave the coast its name. Positano lies 7 nm to the west. Further west, the beaches are reached by tender or kayak as far as the Punta Campanella nature reserve.

  • Ischia

The island is known for its natural thermal springs. At Lacco Ameno, the Negombo thermal park fills a whole day before an evening passage to Capri.
